The Fingerprint Method is all about helping you find your unique musical path – your musical fingerprint. We're planning a range of materials in print, video, and audio that offer a wide range of musical paths to explore. Whether you're interested in playing from chords, playing by ear, improvising, reading sheet music, or songwriting, we have something for you. Our materials are designed to be used with beginners or experienced players on piano or guitar, and are suitable for people of all ages.

We believe that every person is musical in their own way. It's not a matter of whether you're musical or not, but rather how you're musical. That's what we call your musical fingerprint. When you find the right musical path for you, it should feel natural and enjoyable. If one of our books doesn't speak to you, we encourage you to try another. You're free to start with any series you like and switch between approaches or instruments as often as you'd like. The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself. If you do, you'll be motivated to keep playing and exploring the world of music.

Each series includes a beginner crash course in the first book, which is perfect for those with no prior knowledge (or you can skip it if you already know the basics). Each series is self-contained and will get you playing music and having fun in no time. If you're a serious student, these series are also part of a larger puzzle of overall musical fluency. If you study all of them and learn to play from chords, play by ear, improvise, write songs, and read music, you'll be a well-rounded and highly skilled musician. Even if you only play occasionally, you'll still benefit from the meditative and brain-exercising effects of music.

Learning music can be a natural and enjoyable process. All you have to do is follow your interests and strengths and find the way of being musical that feels the most like you. That, and don't give up!

So far, we've published levels 1 and 2 of the "How to Play the Piano: Chords Method" book series. To stay in the loop with our new offerings in print, video, and audio resources, join our mailing list:
